Welcome to Kaitlyn's News
Our daughter Kaitlyn was born on 5th June 2006 with a complex congenital heart defect know as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Basically the left side of her heart failed to develop and without open heart surgery she would not have survived. So far she has had two open heart surgeries and will need another before she starts school. She has a protective big brother called Joshua. This blog is her story.

An amazing tribute to a beautiful little lady....
I think of you everyday hun and i hope you dont mind i pop onto PAIL often to see how you are, i never post as i would feel it innapropirate and wouldnt want to upset any of the ladies there......
I hope somehow that getting through each day without your precious girl is getting easier........
my thoughts are with you all, and if ever you want to natter yell me, though i can understand if you would rather not...

What a gorgeous little girl. I feel devastated for you and cannot begin to imagine how heartbroken you must be. :-( My 10 yr old daughter saw the photo of your Kaitlyn with the bubbles and she saved the image on her favourite pictures file.

I've not visited Kaitlyn's blog for a little while, I did today,and along with tears I also have to say, wow what wonderful pictures of her with Big Brother Josh.. My heart melted. Kaitlyn, truly was a beautiful little Lady Kay.. And your never far from my mind.. xx Joni
